Puerto Montt is a port city in the south of Chile and has approximately 180,000 inhabitants. (Wikipedia). The town was formally established in 1853 after German immigrants began to settle in the area. The city is the fastest growing in Chile due to explosive growth in salmon farming. The economy in the country is based on salmon farming, fishing, forestry and agriculture.
