Napier, with its 62,000 inhabitants in 2016, is a port city located on the North Island. The town is the center of a rich agricultural district, and trades in wool, meat, fruit, tobacco and lumber. The entire city center has been built up in Art Deco style after it suffered extensive damage in connection with an earthquake in 1931. (Store Norske Leksikon). We have visited family twice in Napier and been there once in connection with a cruise around New Zealand. Napier is a great city with beautiful surroundings, an art deco town center and beautiful parks.

We have visited Napier two times – in 2014 and 2019. First time we visited family and the second time in connection with a cruise in New Zealand. Napier is a beautiful place we want to return to. We recommend visiting Napier and similar New Zealand which is a beautiful cøuntry.
