Matamata is a small town located in the Waikato district, and around 12,000 people live in Matamata, approximately half of whom live in the city. It is an agricultural district with a main focus on horse breeding. We had a short stop here on the way from Aukland to Levin where we had a cup of coffee and something to eat.

Matamata er en liten småby som ligger i Waikato – distriktet, og rundt 12 000 mennesker sokner til Matamata, hvor cirka halvparten bor i byen. Det er et jordbruksdistrikt med hovedfokus på hesteavl. Vi hadde en kort stopp her på veien fra Aukland til Levin hvor vi tok en kopp kaffe og litt å spise.
