Kauai is of volcanic origin and is the oldest and fourth largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Due to the rainforest and lush vegetation, the island is known as «The Garden Isle». It was James Cook who discovered Kauai in 1778. Kauai is today a popular destination for tourists and surfers. In the past, the cultivation of sugar beet was the most important export product, but in recent years it has been replaced by, among other things, coffee plants. The island is also known as a filming location for the movie «Jurassic Park». Among other things, we visited the hotel «Kauai Marriot Beach Club», which was surrounded by an incredibly beautiful planted park with swimming pools, fish ponds, exotic birds and more. (Wikipedia; Google translated). It was incredibly good to walk around this park and take in the smell of the flowers, look at the fish and ducks swimming together. Here you can wander around and find a peace that is very special.

Det var utrolig godt å vandre rundt i denne parken og ta inn lukten av blomstene, se på fiskene og endene som svømmer sammen. Her kan en vandre rundt og finne en ro som er helt spesiell.
