We visited Roseau in connection with a cruise in January 2017. Our impression was that Dominica was characterized by the fact that the island was disadvantaged compared to other places in the Caribbean. This is possibly due to low export earnings and the fact that the economy has become increasingly dependent on tourism. The hurricanes that sometimes hit the island are probably very demanding for the place. We spent the day on a walk in the city, with the possibility of shopping and a break for refreshments.
