Bora Bora is a volcanic island and a municipality of the iles Sous-le Vent in the Society Islands of French Polynesia in the central South Pacific. The island is approximately 265 km northwest of Tahiti, and it takes about 50 minutes to get there by plane from Tahiti. Bora Bora had 10,605 inhabitants in 2017 (Wikipedia), is 10 kilometers long and 4 kilometers wide and is surrounded by coral reefs. It has two large mountains, Otemanu at 727 meters and Pahia with its twin peaks at 685 meters.

Bora Bora is a favorite destination where you can stay in the beautiful bungalows that stand on stilts with direct access to the sea and wonderful sunsets from the terraces. Bora Bora is considered the «jewel» of French Polynesia where it is set in one of the world’s most beautiful lagoons with white sandy beaches and wonderful shades of blue. We were on Bora Bora in connection with a cruise in the Pacific Ocean, from Sydney Australia to Hawaii in 2010. We took part in a sightseeing trip around the island organized by the cruise company, where we experienced and got to see a lot of the island and the wonderful nature there. We understand very well that this is a popular destination for all occasions, – such as diving, snorkelling, swimming, honeymoons, romantic trips or simply a relaxing trip where you seek silence. It was an unforgettable experience to come to Bora Bora and see the beautiful flowers, the colors, the crystal clear water and meet the people there.

Vi var på Bora Bora i forbindelse med cruise i Stillehavet, fra Sydney Australia til Hawaii i 2010. Vi deltok på en sightseeingtur rundt om på øya som ble arrangert av cruiseselskapet, hvor vi opplevde og fikk se mye av øya og den fantastiske naturen der. Vi skjønner godt att dette er et populært reisemål for alle anledninger, – som for eksempel dykking, snorkling, bading, bryllupsreiser, romantiske turer eller rett og slett en avslapningstur hvor en søker stillheten. Det var en uforglemmelig opplevelse å komme til Bora Bora og se de vakre blomstene, fargene, det krystallklare vannet og få møte menneskene der.
