Akaroa is a small town located on the South Island approximately 84 km from Christchurch. The town with 790 inhabitants (2021) is a popular summer party spot. One of the attractions for the tourists is swimming with dolphins. (Wikipedia). We visited Akaroa in connection with a cruise around New Zealand in 2019. Akaroa is a lovely little town that we would love to go back to.
